Hello fellow IFMA members.
I have been a member of IFMA since 1991. During my
membership I have held many positions. I have also
met many people, some through our local chapter and
some through IFMA national. Some of these
acquaintances have turned into lasting friendships.
My point to all of this is that while IFMA is a
terrific organization that supports the facility
management profession, it is also a great forum for
networking and developing lasting friendships with
fellow professionals.
There are many opportunities throughout the year to
network and get together with fellow IFMA members at
our monthly meetings, golf outing, membership event
and the many national events that IFMA offers.
Networking with others is a great way to stay in
touch with today’s hot business topics, stay in the
know about what is happening locally and find out
the challenges and wins other FM’s are faced with
every day. When it is all said and done, we are all
more alike that we realize.
World Workplace is fast approaching. This
year’s conference will be held in Phoenix AZ. This
is a fantastic opportunity to network with other
IFMA professionals and build those friendships I
spoke of earlier. If you have never been to
WWP,
I appreciate the opportunity to serve as the Central
PA Chapter of IFMA President. I have big shoes to
fill and I will do the job to the best of my
ability. I look forward to meeting all of you at
one or all of our upcoming events.
